I’ve taken very few pictures this month and can’t wait to get back at it! Our family has been rotating around with cold & flu symptoms for a greater part of the month. We are now in the second round of a virus already this year. Can you believe it…not even out of January yet! Hopefully we can move on to a healthy February.
Thankfully on Sunday both girls were feeling well enough to take in some sunshine after being laid up most of the previous week. My sister and I took them to check out a location that I will be shooting at later this spring. The girls were not much in the mood for taking pictures (runny noses, etc) — but I did snap this cute little shot. I love the location — the colorful pillows piled up on the oversized lounger make a great photo setting.
Unfortunately, the girls are still fighting off the coughing/sneezing/runny nose issues this week. No more fevers thankfully. We’re hoping Miss M can get back to preschool soon! She has missed 4 days already but we can’t send her back quite yet. The preschool policy is ‘symptom free’ and we are not there yet.
If you are a client waiting for your print or digital order, your images will be ready within one week. Thank you for your patience during cold and flu season! There are many wonderful images and I look forward to getting them in your hands! It is such a pleasure to know that the pictures you’ve ordered will be hanging on your walls and cherished by your family for years.

…and every once in awhile I catch the little moments as they happen!

Miss M started dance last week and has been living in her leotard ever since. It is such a challenge to get her to wear normal clothes to preschool (outside of school we pretty much let her wear what she chooses). These days she wants to be outfitted as a ballerina day and night.
The pictures above I took on her first day of dance (just before the class started, while the girls were all dancing around on the tumble mats). It is so fun to watch her get into her first activity. What a joy.

I’ve had this question a couple times over the weekend…can the valentine’s promo be used for a family session (not just kids)?
Yes, of course! Couples, family, whatever you wish…just be sure to bring the LOVE!!!
And speaking of couples…how cute is this duo? J & S have been sweethearts since high school (the cute girls are their 2 oldest…they have 4 kiddos total and you can see them here).
Can’t wait to see your loving connections for the HUGS and KISSES promotions (see more details here)!

Nothing like 2 sisters holding hands…always a great photo!
This pic was taken back in Nov and I just came across it tonight. It makes me smile and laugh to remember this outing.
Some moments these girls are the best of friends and othertimes not so much (typical siblings). On this particular afternoon all was well with the world and they were just perfect together (for a bit of time anyway). ’M’ allowed little ‘J’ to wear her red cowboy boots out for a walk (no, they do not fit..but that’s no matter). J was ecstatic to go out walking in those boots. She showed them off to every person that we met. She walked up to strangers and pointed down at her boots (like they hadn’t noticed the little peanut walking around in boots that were 5 sizes too big)…once she received her compliments and praise she would smile and wave good-bye and then move on to the next adoring boot fan. What a happy little girl. This is an afternoon outing I will never forget.
J has always had such a thing with these red cowboy boots. She LOVES to put them on and walk around the house whenever she gets the chance (which is not often as they are M’s favorite shoes). Luckily she got her own pair for Christmas (thanks to my mom) so now she has a pair all to herself. Get ready for that in my upcoming pictures!
