More work to do on this family session but this one caught my eye tonight and I thought I’d share a photo tip…

During a recent family photo session, I noticed this handwriting paper strip laying on the kitchen counter and instantly knew that I had to get a photo. I tracked down Hayden in his parent’s bedroom and asked him to hold his handwriting sample up for me to take a picture. I could only have dreamed that he would give me such a perfect expression to go with it! I just love this. Such a great moment.
The photo tip:
As parents, we have a lot of art projects to hold onto. It gets to be a heavy amount of ‘stuff’ to archive. I like the idea of taking pictures of the artwork (including the child in the image of possible). Not only do you get the visual of what they made but you get the reference of what they look like (and how they feel about their creation) at the time that they made it.

OH, this is sooooo cute!
Just perfect.
Hi Kelly, Love the pix on this site. The light is so lovely and natural especially on the newborn.
I got your blog addy from your mother in law. We send emails back and forth; we don’t really know each other except online. She visits my blog and leaves nice comments.
