beach girls

sneak peak: just a few that caught my eye of these 3 cousins playing at the beach…
I experimented a little with the fisheye lens. I love it! I’m adding it to the never ending wish list. It is a bit hard to get used to (I feel like I had to literally be on top of these girls!) but fun to see how different the images turn out. It is a new creative challenge that I certainly want to explore. I was happy to get the girls in action here but also capture the landscape of the background (nice to get the long line up of lounge chairs in one frame…wah-la!)
How cute are they? All the same age – all were born within 3 months of each other. They come to Arizona from all ends of the country to stay with Grandma for 2 weeks every summer. I did the same as a child! My cousin Laura and I would go stay with Grandma K in Volga, South Dakota every summer. We watched soap operas all morning, ate mac and cheese for lunch, and layed out in the sun throughout the afternoon at the local pool (no spf…ouch!)…what memories! We also choreographed dances to Paula Abdul music and lip synched to Milli Vanilli – can you guess the decade I was in middle school?
